525 EFI

The World's Most Versatile Performance Engine

The Mercury Racing HP525 EFI is world renowned for its performance on and off the race course. The engine package is the power behind numerous offshore world championships.

Reliability, durability and overall performance are the reasons that offshore racers choose the 525 EFI as their power of choice. This race-proven consumer engine is a favorite among recreation sport boaters and poker runners as well.

Enhancements include the PCM microprocessor, universal engine mounts, increased engine oil flow and a larger volume and higher flow power steering system. Changes in the power steering system provide OEM boat builders with the option to rig two power steering pumps (dual engines) in series. Engine protection is enhanced thanks to increased engine oil flow through the filter and cooler.

Engine drive packages include Bravo One XR, Bravo One XR Sport Master, Bravo Three XR and dry-sump Six drive. The optional Integrated Transom System (ITS) provides hydraulic steering on the drive while making the transom more aesthetically pleasing and simplifying installation.

 

 

600 SCi

All the World's a Stage!

The 600 SCi was the first Mercury Racing sterndrive engine package certified for sale in the European Union (EU). The popular engine, packed with Mercury Racing exclusive components, meets the emissions requirements as set forth in the EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) 94/25/EC amended by 2003/44/EC. The engine also meets requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EC. The certification expands the availability of the 600 SCi sterndrive engine package to all countries that fall under the EU's RCD.

The 600 SCi engine continues Mercury Racing's heritage of producing engines packed with state-of-the-art technology that delight customers with outstanding performance.

The engine outperformed the larger displacement Ilmor MV10-625 in a recent Speedboat Magazine® shoot-out featuring identically rigged Outerlimits 39 Quatro vee-bottom hulls.

The Mercury exclusive Propulsion Control Module (PCM) microprocessor, combined with a 3.3 Liter Lysholm® screw type supercharger, roller camshaft and sequential fuel injection for impeccable idle quality, instant throttle response and unmatched performance throughout the engine operating range. Available with Bravo One XR, NXT¹® or NXT¹® SSM drive options.

 

 

The all-new EU662 SCi engine package, featuring Mercury Racing's revolutionary NXT¹® transmission and drive, was developed exclusively for sale to all countries that fall under the European Union Recreational Craft Directive(RCD).

The RCD consists of strict exhaust emissions and noise regulations for both two-stroke and four-stroke recreational marine engines. Regulations for compression ignition and four-stroke spark ignition engines were initiated on January 1, 2006. The 662 SCi is the highest horsepower marine sterndrive engine certified for sale in the EU.

It shares all of the game changing technology as its North American cousin - the 700 SCi. Engine packages come standard with the NXT¹® drive for both close-couple and drive-line installations.

The new NXT6 SSM drive, featuring the dry-sump Six drive coupled to the NXT¹® transom plate and the dry-sump NXT¹® transmission, is available for selected hulls that require the drives to be mounted higher on the transom for maximum efficiency and optimal boat performance.

 

700 SCi

Overview

Mercury Racing has expanded the versatility of the popular 700 SCi sterndrive engine package with the availability of the all-new NXT6 Super Speed Master (SSM) drive.

The NXT6 SSM drive, designed for boats with natural bow lift using minimal trim, offers OEM boatbuilders and consumers the benefit of using the legendary dry-sump Six drive with the engine mounted in the same location as a Bravo drive set-up thanks to Mercury Racing's exclusive NXT¹® transmission design.

The compact size of the transmission enables builders to install the engine in the same location (fore and aft) asa standard Bravo in close couple applications.

The transmission design allows for use of a "driveline kit" for forward engine applications.

Like all Mercury Racing sterndrives,the 700 SCi comes equipped with the Mercury exclusive Propulsion Control Module (PCM) 07 microprocessor.

Combining the powerful engine management computer with a 3.3 Liter Lysholm screw-type supercharger, roller camshaft and sequential fuel injection results in impeccable idle quality, instant throttle response and unmatched performance throughout the 4800-5200 rpm rated engine operating range.

 

1100

Overview

Based off the quad cam four valve (QC4v) engine platform, the 1,100 horsepower engine shares all of the creature comforts of its game changing sibling; the 1350.

Compared to the 1075 SCi, it has a little more power and a lot more torque. In fact – big torque and power runs in the family. The 1100 pumps out 1,100 lb-ft of torque from 2500 to 5250 rpm (more than the 1200 SCi!) – and delivers 1,100 horsepower at its 6,500 rpm red line. All of this power and torque comes from 89 posted octane (R+M)/2, (95 RON, global) pump gas. The 1075 SCi and competitive engines with like power ratings require a minimum 91 posted octane. Like the 1350, the 1100 complies with EPA and CARB exhaust gas emissions limits.

Birthmarks

At first glance, one may not notice the subtle differences between the 1350 and the 1100. The most noticeable physical difference is the use of foam air intake filters in place of the carbon fiber turbo inlets that come standard on the 1350. Another styling/functional queue: A single throttle body and an adjacent idle balance tube replace the dual throttle bodies of a 1350. The throttle body, fuel regulator and intake runners, hidden behind a carbon fiber front cover on the 1350, are in full view on the 1100 – a technological birthmark of the younger QC4v sibling.

A carbon fiber top cover helps protect the electronics and provide a place for the Mercury Racing M logo, power decals and wiring reference (underside).

Style Dress Kit

Carbon Fiber KitAn optional accessory kit, featuring port and starboard carbon fiber turbo inlets and front cover, is available for those who prefer style over the look of technology. Owners have the option to customize the front cover with their boat builder logo.

Good Genes and Manners

The 1100's fuel calibration is new due to configuration differences, but function is very similar. It shifts just as sweetly and throttles just as effortlessly as the 1350. Both engines feature an integrated, water-cooled twin turbo exhaust system. The digitally modulated boost control is employed to handle the engines' massive, flat torque line. And both are drive-by- wire. The 1100 and 1350 share the same electronically shifted transmission.

The 1100 comes standard with the dry-sump NXT1 SSM drive with gear ratios from 1.15.1 to 1.42:1. The M8 drive, standard on the 1350, is required when the application calls for 1.5:1 or 1.7: 1 gear ratios.

With 10 color options available and four different components that can be painted — Induction & Exhaust, Base Engine, Transom, and Drive —owners can mix and match to create literally thousands of different custom color combinations.

The 1100 is backed with a one year limited warranty for recreational boating.
